La Maison Louis

Located in the centre of Paris, La Maison Louis caught our attention with its bright and modern design, we simply had to check it out. Entering the building however, we noticed the croissants looked a little out of shape, so everyone went for their pain au chocolat with almonds instead. I opted for their chocolate croissant with almonds, a combination I hadn’t tried previously. After a quick microwaving, I got straight to the first bite and was blown away by the combined texture of the soft croissant, gooey chocolate and crunchy almonds. It was unfortunately a little too sweet for a croissant and the taste of the almonds grew too sharp as I finished the croissant, but it was a unique experience nonetheless. I would personally rate this bakery a 7/10 and I would be open to try their regular croissants if they could improve their presentation.
