Our Review
Originally, the Croissant was supposed to visit Boulangerie Archibald, but after discovering that the store was bare and boring, we decided to divert to another spot nearby. Our little detour eventually landed us at Boulangerie Guyot, which I have to say has a very cute and traditional exterior. The selection of goods here is typical, ranging from baguettes to vanilla eclairs. However, the croissant I tried wasn’t so cute — I would go as far as to say that it was pretty comparable to croissants at Costco. It was dry but not flaky, which is quite strange considering a pastry needs dryness for flakiness. Given it held its shape pretty well while I was eating, Boulangerie Guyot’s croissant makes a good base for a sandwich, as its taste and texture are plain. Otherwise, it simply can’t shine on its own. It’s just mid. My rating: 5/10.
